Great Hostels to Enjoy in Athens

There are many hostels in Athens, but one that sticks out in my mind as being great is the one locate on Agias Theklas No. 10 Monastiraki. This is a great hostel because it is accessible to all the areas in Athens that a traveller may be interested. But not only is it superbly located, the views from the Athens hostel are also incredible and the rooms are all newly renovated, plus there is a rooftop terrace where travellers can enjoy each others company. This hostel is fairly new and just opened in June of 2008.

Free Breakfast with Your Hostel Stay in Athens

Another great feature is that they offer a free breakfast, and many free music and art events that guests may want to partake in. There is an in-house bar, which is a good place to start when deciding to go out for a night on the town. The studio flat comes with a kitchenette and the suites have a terrace and a jacuzzi as well as a bathroom. There are free linens available, and the prices are very reasonable starting at €17.00 per person per night.

Another great Hostel is the San Remo Hostel located at No. 8 Nissirou St. this is a very small and peaceful hostel right in the centre of Athens, and very close to the Athens central train station. Rooms are available as singles, doubles, triples, or even with four to six beds. There are a few rooms that are suites and have a TV and air-conditioning. There is no lockout or curfew here and someone is at the reception area 24 hours a day. It is near the Acropolis, the National Museum, and the flea market. There is also a supermarket near here, and prices start at €10.00 per person.

The ‘Easy hostel’ in Athens is also recommended, and easily accessible. It is located at Satovriandou 26 and located near great public transportation. It is not far from Omonia Square. There is also no lockout or curfew here so it is great for people that want to experience the Athens night life. Breakfast is included in the price of the accommodations, and there is free internet access. All the rooms come with both heating and cooling. There is a restaurant and a common room at this hostel, and you can either share with a double, a triple or a quad and prices start at €14.00 per bed per person.
